Westchester County ReZoom & ReStor Specialist
Dr. Jay Lippman

Clear Vision with ReZoom or ReStor
Dr. Lippman is proud to offer his New Rochelle, Mount Vernon, Rye, White Plains and other County of Westchester cataract surgery patients the advanced AcrySof ReStor and ReZoom multifocal intraocular lenses (IOLs). He uses these IOLs to replace patients’ natural lenses removed during cataract surgery. Until recently cataracts patients could not imagine life without reading glasses or bifocals, but these multifocal IOLs allow many of them to achieve clear vision at all distances without glasses.

Please use our contact page to schedule a personal consultation with Dr. Lippman, during which time he will help you decide which procedure — implantation of ReStor or ReZoom in Westchester  County — is most suitable for you.

ReZoom IOLs
Patients who receive ReZoom lens implants are less dependent upon glasses than patients with monofocal lenses. The ReZoom multifocal IOLs work best for distance and intermediate vision. While many ReZoom Westchester County patients do not require glasses, in some cases ReZoom patients need glasses for reading. However, their new prescription is usually much lower. A possible complication of this implant is increased glare at night.

ReStor IOLs
Patients who receive ReStor multifocal IOLs are also less dependent upon glasses than patients who undergo implantation of monofocal lenses. The ReStor IOLs work best for distance and near vision. Similarly to ReZoom, some patients who receive this implant in Westchester County occasionally require glasses after this treatment. Most often glasses are needed for intermediate vision tasks, such as seeing prices on a store shelf. Other possible complications experienced by some Westchester County, including Yonkers, Scarsdale and White Plains ReStor patients include reduced contrast on bright days.

Financing Your ReZoom / ReStor IOLs Procedure
While monofocal IOLs are most often paid for by Medicare and/or insurance companies, multifocal lenses, Toric lenses and Crystalens are not. However, Medicare and most insurance companies do cover cataract surgery. To help patients who choose ReZoom or ReStor IOLs treatments to pay for their procedures, we offer several affordable payment options. Please let us know if you are a potential ReStor or ReZoom Westchester County patient, and we will be happy to discuss various financing options. We also offer financing plans for patients throughout Westchester County, including Yonkers, Peekskill and White Plains laser eye surgery patients.
